Our Journey

​ Our journey begins across continents, shaped by faith, service, and a shared love for people. Joe and I met in Niger while serving in the Peace Corps. From the very beginning, our lives were rooted in a common calling—to serve others with humility and purpose. Over time, that shared heart for service grew into a lifelong commitment to loving our neighbors through community health support and horticulture work. We have always believed in the beauty of living with intention in the place we are given. Inspired by Jeremiah 29:5–7, we are encouraged to build, plant, and flourish where we are placed—seeking the good of the community and living faithfully in that calling. This truth continues to shape the way we live and work today. Now rooted in Oronoco, Minnesota, we carry that same spirit into our farm life. We care for an orchard, raise bees, and grow much of our own produce with care and gratitude. In most seasons, our garden provides not only for our family, but also becomes a source of abundance we joyfully share with friends and neighbors. At the heart of Orchard Hill Honey is a desire to offer what has been entrusted to us with excellence and gratitude. From our hives to our land, every product reflects a commitment to quality, care, and stewardship.
